Beijing River Garden Villa (RGV) is situated on the banks of the Wenyu River, just a ten-minute drive from Beijing Capital International Airport, and a thirty-minute drive from downtown Beijing.
Beijing River Garden is located adjacent to Pinnacle Plaza, a Western-style mall with many shopping, dining, and recreation choices from "home" which will feel familiar to residents coming to Beijing from Europe and especially North America. Among them:
- Specialty stores for kids, featuring clothes, educational items, toys and more;
- Food stores, in particular Jenny Lou’s Supermarket, a local favorite which stocks many Western foods, especially brands which can be difficult to find in China; and
- Restaurants and bars, offering ethnic options ranging from Italian (pizza, pasta, and more), to Mexican, Indian and Thai, to Japanese and most major Chinese regional cuisines;
- Cafés and teahouses, including Starbucks Coffee;
- Wine shops, such as Palette Vino and Top Cellar
- Art galleries;
- Health & Medical, including a western clinic.
In total, there are five different grocery stores -- now six, since the recent opening of a local BHG supermarket, justifiably famous for being able to fulfill "all" of its customers' grocery needs -- situated outside River Garden's gates yet near enough for convenience. The new BHG supermarket is located in the Euro Plaza just past Pinnacle Plaza.
